I just inherited an Untangle server - what should I do?

If you have just inherited an Untangle appliance that was previously administrated by someone else, we recommend the following:

1. Connect to the Untangle appliance and change all administrator account passwords. Consider removing those accounts that are longer needed. The administrator password can be changed by going to Config > Administration and clicking the Change Password button next to each account. This process requires knowing an admin password. If the current password is not known, try step 2.

2. Login to Command Center. Command Center can be used to remotely administer Untangle appliances, assuming all of the remote access requirements have been met. A password reset can also be sent for Command Center access, but this requires access to the email address on the account.
