Why do my Dashboard widgets not match the associated report?

The Dashboard widgets are set to a default time frame of the most recent hour, while the default time frame for a report is the most recent twenty-four hours. To see the report data in the same manner that the associated widget displays, either set the report to the most recent hour, or hover your mouse over the widget and click Open in Reports. This will generate the report with a time frame of the most recent hour.
