Troubleshooting duplexing issues
If your interfaces are set to auto-negotiate and you are noticing that you have a duplexing issue on your hands, here are a few things that you can try:
- Check the health of the network cable and change if needed
- Manually change the duplexing settings to force a match between your NG Firewall interface and the device at the other end of the cable
- Place a small switch in between your NG Firewall and the upstream device
- If your NG Firewall is set up in bridge mode, connect your NG Firewall to the upstream router with a crossover cable
