NG Firewall 17.0: Resolving Web Filter issue affecting AI services

Overview

Recent updates to Web Filter introduced an issue whereby AI services (ChatGPT/OpenAI, Google Bard/Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, &c.) were unreachable any time Web Filter was active. Pass Sites and customized Rules were not effective in enabling access to these services.

The script below will resolve this issue. If you do not have CLI access to your NG Firewall or you're not comfortable running scripts on it, please contact the Support team for assistance.

This change will be rolled into our next release and will not be necessary after upgrading to that version.
