How do I create a port forward?

Port forward rules give you the ability to send all traffic destined to a certain port to a specific IP address inside your network. You can create those rules in Config > Network > Port Forward Rules.

A common example is an email server. Let's say your email server is assigned 192.168.2.35 and you want all traffic on port 25 (SMTP) to be forwarded to it. You'd create this rule:

You can use the Switch to Advanced option in the bottom left-hand corner of that menu to gain greater control over the routing of that traffic.

We do recommend locking down access to specific external IP addresses, if possible. A port forward is essentially a hole in your firewall and, without conditions to restrict traffic, will pass any traffic destined for the port in question.
