Connecting NG Firewall to a 4G hotspot or other wireless network

Overview

NG Firewall can connect to other wireless networks. This enables you to set up a primary or backup WAN connection using wireless Internet such as a 4G hotspot. 

Configuration

To configure NG Firewall as an wireless client:

1. Go to Config -> Network -> Interfaces.
2. Edit the Wireless interface.
3. Enable Is WAN Interface.
4. Click the IPv4 Configuration tab.
5. Choose the configuration type for your connection. The common type is Auto (DHCP).
6. Enable NAT traffic exiting this interface.
    
7. Click the Wireless Configuration tab.
8. In the Mode selection, choose Client.
9. Enter the SSID, Encryption type, and Password for your connection.
10. Click Done.
11. Click Save.
