It is necessary to provide the appliance's serial number when contacting Support for an RMA request. The serial number can also be used to add an appliance to ETM Dashboard.
Where is it on the box?
The serial number can also be found on a small silver or white sticker on the back or bottom of the unit. The sticker will have a barcode and a string of characters formatted like 1234-00A-0001234 and might not include the dashes. The first four numbers can be read as a date. In the example below, the device was manufactured in May 2019.

Starting in NG Firewall v14.1, you should also be able to find the unit's serial number in Config > About:
