How to assign a subscription to Micro Edge

Overview

After purchasing a license for your Micro Edge, you must assign the license to your appliance to activate it. Until a license is assigned or if a subscription is expired, the appliance functions in a restricted bandwidth mode.

Assigning a new subscription 

You can assign or reassign a license in the Subscriptions area of your account when logged into ETM Dashboard.

To assign a subscription from the appliance dashboard:

  1. Log in to ETM Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Appliances.
  3. Select the appliance you want to license from the list of appliances.
  4. Locate the Appliance Licenses widget and click Add License.
  5. Select the subscription you want to assign to this appliance and click Add.

To assign a subscription from the Subscriptions page:

  1. Log in to ETM Dashboard.
  2. Click on Account and then click on My Account.
  3. Select Subscriptions from the menu on the left.
  4. Select the subscription you want to assign to this appliance.
  5. Click on the Manage button.
  6. Choose "Assign subscription to an appliance".
  7. Select an appliance and click Save. 

Verifying your license

You can check if the license is configured in your Micro Edge in Settings > System > About. If the license does not apply immediately, you can force a license update by clicking Refresh License.
